When to Visit Mallorca

To enjoy fully what Mallorca offers, you need to visit off-season. The city and its surroundings are known for its summer resorts alongside the overcrowded coastline. Mallorca is one of the top travel destinations in the world, with most visitors attracted by its beaches and bus tours to some of the most fascinating points on the island. to beat the crowd, be sure to visit Mallorca at the end of April or September.

Day 1: Palma, Cabo Blanco & Es Trenc

Depart the port of Palma and head southwest towards Cabo Blanco, taking in the stunning cliffs. Make sure to get close to these cliffs for an amazing experience – if the weather is calm. Take a refreshing swim at Cala Pi. Be careful not to miss the entrance to this gem as many cruisers actually do. Continue sailing to the shorelines of S ‘Estanyol and Sa Rapita until you reach the Es Trenc Beach in the southeast. Anchor here and spend the night surrounded by the deep green pine woods.

Day 2: Es Terence, Cabo Salinas & Porto Colom

After enjoying your first day aboard the yacht, it is time for day 2 excursions. Weigh anchor and cruise to Cabo Salinas and navigate the east shoreline of Mallorca. Here you will find lots of coves to drop anchor or even swim. The perfect bay or port to anchor in Mallorca is the Porto Colom. Enjoy the turquoise waters with the white sandy seabed.

Day 3: Porto Colom, Porto Cristo & Cala Ratjada

Sail along Porto Cristo or the coast of the coves. The water here is so clean and it is perfect for swimming. The bottom is sandy, which is also perfect for dropping anchor. There are several spots where you can anchor your boat and snorkel through the shallow water. Alternatively, play with water toys while aboard your yacht.

Day 4: Cala Ratjada to Cala Formentor

Spend day 4 cruising the Alcudia and Pollensa bays. These two bays are known for having great summer winds suitable for yacht sailing. The coasts have numerous anchoring choices where you can stop and relax on the stunning beaches or swim in crystal clear waters. Spend the night in Cala Formentor as you wait for the 5th day.

Day 5: Cala Formentor to Port de Soller

Leave Cala Formentor and sail through the rugged northern coast of Palma Mallorca. Navigate through Sa Calobra and Torrent de Pareis and look for a suitable anchoring location. Spend the night in Port de Soller after dining aboard or in one of the numerous eccentric restaurants around.

Day 6: Port de Soller to Port d’Andratx

Head towards southwest until you reach Sierra de Tramuntana Port. Enjoy along the way the views of Cala Deia, Port de Valdemosa, Sa Foradada, Estellences, and Banyalbufar. You can stop by one of these spots and take a swim. Sail through the Dragonera Channel and reach the Port d’Andratx and spend the night here in a sheltered anchorage.

Day 7: From Port d’Andratx and back to Palma Port

On the last day of your excursions, leave Port d’Andratx and navigate towards the city of Palma de Mallorca for disembarkation. Navigate through Toro and Malgrats islands and the bays of Ponsa and Playa de Mago. Find a beach bar and enjoy some delicious Spanish breakfast. Navigate to Palma port and depart your yacht, hoping that you have had an unforgettable holiday!
