In just the past few weeks, we have seen learning consortiums and coalitions taking shape, with different stakeholders – including governments, publishers, education experts, technology providers, and telecom network operators – coming together to utilize computerized stages as a temporary solution to the emergency. In developing nations where instruction has transcendently been given by the government, this might get to be a predominant and significant slant to future education.
In China, the Ministry of Education has amassed a group of different constituents to create a new cloud-based, online learning and broadcasting platform as well as to upgrade a suite of education infrastructure, driven by the Education Ministry and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Additionally, the Hong Kong-based readtogether.hk gathering (China Daily video here) may be a consortium of over 60 educational organizations, distributors, media, and excitement industry experts, giving more than 900 educational assets, counting videos, book chapters, assessment instruments, and counseling administrations at no cost. The consortium’s intention is to proceed utilizing and keeping up the platform indeed after COVID-19 has been contained.
Through examples like these, educational advancement is accepting attention past the normal government-funded or non-profit-backed social venture. Within the past decade, we have already seen far more prominent intrigue, and speculation, coming from the private division in education arrangements and advancement. From Microsoft and Google within the U.S. to Samsung in Korea to Tencent, Ping An, and Alibaba in China, organisations are arousing to the vital basics of a taught people. Whereas most activities to date have been restricted in scope, and moderately separated, the widespread might clear the way for much larger-scale, cross-industry coalitions to be shaped around a common educational goal.
I’ve been saying that this year will change everything for education. I think the way it’s approached will be far different going forward. The pandemic has shown that some methods are quite viable.
It’s interesting how some of the things implemented for safety and just making learning possible this year could actually become parts of the education norm in the future.
It’s really amazing how changes made during the pandemic can possibly change the face of teaching forever. It’s a real statement about necessity being the mother of invention.
This was a very interesting read. I’m glad to see something good has come out of this horrible pandemic. It sounds like the teaching world could be changing for the better.
Necessity is the mother of invention. Whatever happens with the world we must keep educating our children for they are our future.
I think this virus has shown us that we humans can be resilient and that future is unpredictable.
Yes Indeed. Some things you just wrote about I have currently gone through with my kids and can tell that the pressure it puts on the parent is huge. But fortunately that they allow the kids back to school in my little town where there are not too many ppl.
Such an interesting read and it has changed the shape of everything, nevermind just our children’s education. It is a crazy, crazy time at the moment. Fingers crossed it all ends sooner rather than later!
Yes, it definitely is reshaping entire education. I’m just not sure if I like the way where it goes…
The pandemic really brought out innovations in the education space. Example: zoom / online classes and then breakout rooms for group works! It’s really changing. I think education became more accessible.
We are living in history. I think the young kids if we educate them now on this subject it would be easy for them to explain the time we lived in this historical moments of this current pandemic.
Very interesting article! I work as an instructor in higher education and have seen the dichotomous effect of the pandemic on the students I teach. I do think, though, that the pandemic has given rise to an opportunity for people to learn more about their own learning styles and for teachers to get on board with that and vary up the teaching.
Very informative and interesting! Indeed, a lot will change due to the ongoing situation all over the world. Not all are negative, hence, we can see positive improvements all the way.
